Our clients for this home in San Francisco’s Sea Cliff neighborhood asked us to reimagine the home’s primary living spaces. Set at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Sea Cliff is often wrapped in an ethereal veil of fog. Inspired by the surroundings, we used textured fabrics in muted tones to create spaces that envelope their occupants in a soft cocoon. A hand-painted mural by Charles Leonard enlivens the walls of the dining room. In the living room a mohair sofa and custom coffee table are paired with swivel chairs that allow our clients, and their guests, to engage in conversation or take in the view.
