Yellow Jacket Road Lake Tahoe, Nevada

We created this peaceful mountain home at the edge of Lake Tahoe for a family of five with a long history of visiting this very special place. Nestled comfortably into its hillside site, the house is designed for all seasons – a gathering place for their children and grandchildren for years to come.

Drawing from the lake, sky and forest, the palette of blues, grays, greens and neutrals is peaceful and complements the lake views visible from every window. With bunk rooms for children, lockers for overnight guests and other thoughtful touches, the house is meant to accommodate a crowd, but soft surroundings that feel lived-in make it equally welcoming for this close-knit family.
